Key Responsibilities:

Administration variety of UNIX hardware, ranging from high-end, partitionable servers to low end servers,
Monitor system performance and capacity. Plan and implement system upgrades,
Keep the environment compliant with corporate standards and policies,
Implement, test and document, Disaster Recovery procedures,
Resolve and document system infrastructure failures,
Carry out daily health checks on systems,
Platform infrastructure package patch installation and validation,
Application Deployments (e.g. Post O/S builds, Middleware),
Liaise with all areas of Technology Infrastructure, Application, Development and Support,
Provide out of hours support on a Shift Rota basis (Primary and Backup),
Provide onsite cover at weekends to perform software releases, upgrades or to support business acceptance testing and Disaster Recovery tests.
